Are you expecting four Americans?

AUSTRALIA - What a beautiful place. I am in love with this place. It's like London, but sunshiny. Plus they speak ENGLISH!! We blew all our money on the very first evening at the opera house.

We had a contact about 30 minutes outside of downtown sydney which I called and got directions to. They have a book study in their house so we were going to pop in and stay for the book study then spend the night.

WELL, we picked up our bags from our hostel and went to the train station. Well I was dragging a HUGE suitcase, a sweater, my HUGE purse, and a sandwhich and went to buy a train ticket and left the paper with all the directions and contact info on the ticket counter. Or purhaps it was in the thing where you put your ticket in the little slot and run through the sliding gate and it was alittle difficult with all my crap. ANYWAYS THEY DISAPPEARED.

I remembered the directions from the train station to the bus, it was a special bus station, then I remembered which stop and the street to turn on, bravo Nina! I was very sure it was house number 41 on Cook str. Well, Cook Str. turned out to be quite long and dark. We made it to nuber 41, eventually. There was nothing but houses on this str. until we came to nuber 41 there was a sign on the gate that read "Autism Association." I couldn't believe it!

Then Violette and I start going door to door asking for, well we couldn't quite remember their names so we just said "are you guys expecting four American?" It was quite a sight - dark out with all our bags, hahah. Finally Violette asked if there were any Jehovah's Witnesses around. And that did the trick! Vio found someone who knew them. And ten minutes before the meeting too!

The people we're are staying with are super. One of them works on Manly beach, so we'll probably hitch a ride with her tomorrow morning. Cheerio guys. By the way, Coffee with milk is "Flat White" try that on for size.

We also visited a chinese garden in the heart of Sydney which was a gift from china. It was quite nice. We also went to the contemerary art museum. But that was just so-so. BUt it was free so we thought we really ought to check it out. Ta-ta.
