Me and my car

Here's just one more little funny car happening (if you haven't already heard it.

So Soph has had some car problems. so I had to pick her up from the 7/11 where her car practically broke down and drive her to school. So she really wasn't having a great day, I'll say she was a little sniffley. So I drop her off where all the kids without cars hang out awaiting their rides. Sophie climbs out of my car and is getting her bags out of my car when Oopps - she drops her Barnies lemonade and papers. Sophie burst out in the loudest sob you have ever heard (which appears to be over some spilled lemonade) . Then she picks up her papers, whips them against the side of the car the stomps off to class leaving the lemonade cup on the ground and the car door open. Maybe you had to be there, but the whole thing was so hilarious.

So Ali and I are on our way home and I stop to vacuum my car. Alice puts her purse and bookbag on the roof of my car and we drive off with them still on the roof. Now, I'm a pretty safe driver as everyone knows (right?). Everyone is honking at me! I'm thinking WHO IS THE IDIOT THAT IS ABOUT TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT! Then we hear - Plop...Plop. Then who happens to be driving next to me, but my very own mother who is waving fanatically (too bad I could find my window cranker thing I would have yell that I KNOW!) So we turn around to get the stuff and the nice guy who was waiting to use the vacuum had also gotten in his car and was following us helped me pick up Ali's watchtowers post its tacts etc which was covering SR419. There was one watchtower left in the middle of the road we were just going to leave (I didn't feel like dying or becoming a paralytic), but then this police man pulls up and STOPS TRAFFIC so I can get this beat up looking watchtower.

And a note to self. Know when to say enough is enough. Too much a a good the is Suchhhh a Paiiinn! My legs will be sore tomorrow.

The only way of knowing really how a person is doing is asking, and waiting long enough for them to respond. A pause in a conversation can be so revealing.

You just wouldn't move

So I was driving myself to the book study (I was going to abbreviate that to BS, but that didn't seem right) so completely lost in my own thoughts that I fly right by Snow Queen going who knows how fast. ANd I just keep going, and going. Past Bob White and the BRIDGE! I finally snap out of whatever I was in, a coma or something. I really step on it, I know that my family will already be there even though they left after me. THEN...so the Campbell's road is rather curvey, I come around the little bend and there's THIS LITTLE SQUIRE! Stupid thing wasn't even trying to move, he was staring me down! WELL, GUESS WHO WON?? I didn't want to hit it but I was just driving REALLY too fast. ahh, exhale.

My arms are soooo sore. Alice's are too, and Avril's (Ave played volleyball though - that could explain her sore arms). I've been trying to figure it out. They weren't sore the day after roofing. The only thing it could have been was trying to do that stupid worm move on the Campbell's floor.

I love my friends! and reusable wrapping paper.

Some weeks are just blah. It's hard to say exactly why that is sometimes. It seems like every other week. huumm - I don't know.

However, I have realized how good it feels to be official. Officially anything is like having some sort of commitment - rare for me.

I found out that picking wall colors is just as hard as picking hair colors.

Sometimes I get so into things that I forget to just think about what Im doing. Mowing the lawn with a self propelled lawn mower but never pulling the lever that starts the little;e automatic wheels for example.

Ever wish you could just turn your brain off? (If you're saying I already do that on a regular basis - you would be incorrect. My brain becomes severely delayed, but doesn't shut down completely).
